The Centipede’s Dilemma

There’s something happening; and it goes far beyond a year-long meme war (never forget). A new language has been created, new heroes have emerged, a complete mainstream media world-view has been uncovered and challenged at every turn, and the infighting among new cliques like the Alt-Right and Proud Boys has already begun. Thus begins the “Centipede’s Dilemma.”

0wrgvt9Centipedes, or “Pedes”, make up online Pro-Trump communities like r/The_Donald and also go by Deplorables, or High Energy Cuck-Slayers depending on your predilections toward brevity. The Centipede’s Dilemma is a classical psychology problem also known as Humphrey’s Law after George Humphrey who coined it in 1923. It is based on an even older fable-poem that goes:

A centipede was happy – quite!
Until a toad in fun
Said, “Pray, which leg moves after which?”
This raised her doubts to such a pitch,
She fell exhausted in the ditch
Not knowing how to run.

The psychological problem is quite simple: once you place too much attention on the inner-workings of a practice done without thought, you begin to over-think and therefore spoil the process. And, I believe, this is what is the impetus of infighting among meme-makers. The petty squabbles over what is and isn’t White Nationalism, versus what is and isn’t White Supremacy, versus what is and isn’t wholly consumed by identity politics.

wale-ftNo matter what group you’re in, one thing is abundantly clear: none of these groups self-identify as “white supremacist”–and that’s a good thing. As fringe as centipedes in the alt-right or nationalist movements may seem, none of them are fueled by hate; but joy, and adoration for the one true god: Kek.

These groups have flourished by focusing not on what the other legs of the Centipede have been up to, but on trust that they won’t be tangled. The entirety of attention was on winning, winning, and never getting tired of winning.

It’s ultimately significant that we all take a step back and take a broad look at what we’ve accomplished so far…in no particular order. Because culture wars are won by counting the battles won, not mourning over losses and stalemates.

After overcoming the incredible odds against an outsider like Trump winning the nomination from the Republican Party, we shielded ourselves against the violence, fury and frustration of the Socialist Left and Bernie Bros, only to accept them with open arms in our Presidential battle against Hillary Clinton.

While the Centipedes have been focused on peacefully mocking and belittling the butthurt saltmines of sobbing #NeverTrumpers, the radical Left have been getting themselves investigated and arrested for a wide variety of fabricated hate crimes, vandalism, and elaborate long-cons.

When the conflicting political parties and media unveiled strategy after strategy to dismantle the Donald’s campaign and then de-legitimize his election victory, the Centipedes rolled with the punches. From accusations that the President-Elect is literally Hitler to Russian Spies to White Supremacist loyalties to misplaced patriotism after seeing Hamilton, the pedes have persevered.

As fake news hysteria takes a stronghold on the national media, we can sit back and remind those who dismissed us in social and mainstream media that while they scrambled to find Nazi comparisons, we dug through pages and pages of emails searching for a glimpse into the corrupt reality of the other side…you know…what actual journalists are supposed to do.

And as much as the cultural Marxist Left continue to censor, edit, build the walls up around social media, insult and divide their own ranks, we’ve remained steadfast. Because of that, many more will come to our side. Their purpose is to divide and conquer, but if the many legs of the Centipede continue moving, we’ll continue to walk all over them.

With a new Star Wars film coming out, and with me having no interest in protesting it–I’ll paraphrase a quote from Princess Leia…because the more they tighten their grasp, the more star-systems will slip through their fingers.

We are the new punk.
